Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. The short answer: your email address, and nothing else.
1. What we collect
Your email address — only if you type it into the newsletter signup form. Nothing else is asked for: no name, no phone number, no payment details, and there are no user accounts on this site.
On your own device only: the site remembers which instrument mini-course chapters you have marked as read, using your browser's local storage (keys starting with moneyvedas_course_). That information stays on your device. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, and clearing your browser storage removes it.
We do not collect your location, your device identifiers, or your browsing behaviour on other sites.
2. How we use your email address
One purpose only: sending you the weekly MoneyVedas newsletter — investing education, market explainers, and links to new lessons. We do not use your address for any other purpose, and we do not sell it or share it with third parties for marketing.
3. Who processes it
Your email address is stored in a database provided by Supabase, which acts as our data processor for the mailing list. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which handles delivery of the pages and keeps standard edge logs (such as IP addresses in server logs) as any host does.
Loading the site also fetches fonts from Google Fonts and icons from unpkg. Those requests expose your IP address and browser details to those providers, as any web request does. Neither sets cookies through this site.
4. Cookies and trackers
This site sets no first-party cookies. There is no analytics software, no advertising, and no third-party trackers collecting your behaviour on this site. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated first.
5. Consent and unsubscribing
By entering your email address in the signup form, you consent to receiving the weekly newsletter. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing robincb@moneyvedas.in with the subject "Unsubscribe", and your address will be removed from the active mailing list. Emails already sent cannot be unsent.
6. Storage and retention
Your address is kept for as long as you stay subscribed, and removed from the active mailing list when you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. Backups held by our database provider may retain a copy briefly after removal, as backups do.
7. Security
Access to the mailing list is limited through our database provider's access controls, and the site is served over HTTPS. No internet system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but the only data at stake is the email address itself.
8. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask to access, correct, or erase your personal data, and to withdraw your consent. Write to robincb@moneyvedas.in stating what you would like done, and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you believe a request has not been handled properly, you may also approach the Data Protection Board of India.
9. Children
This site is intended for adults (18 and over). We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child's address was submitted, contact us and we will remove it.
10. Changes to this policy
If how we handle data changes, this policy will be updated and the "last updated" date above will change. Material changes will be noted in the newsletter itself.
